What Is The Lemon Law
The definition of what constitutes a vehicle as a “lemon” is: any new vehicle that has repeated, substantial problems relating to the safety, value, or use of the vehicle that isn’t fixed within a reasonable number of attempts, or that has had a certain number of days out of service. A used vehicle, if it was purchased or leased with a remaining portion of the new car warranty, may also qualify under the lemon laws. The meaning of “substantial problem,” “reasonable number of attempts,” and “certain number of days” is defined under your states lemon laws. Toyota Camry And Avalon Recall May Require Secondary Fix
If you have had your Toyota Camry or Avalon repaired under Toyota’s unintended acceleration recall, you may need to take in your vehicle for a secondary repair. In a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) sent to its U.S. Dealers on Tuesday, Toyota said it would pay to repair a bracket holding the accelerator pedal in place because of damage caused while the recall was being done. Toyota said that there have not been any incidents related to the problem, but in some cases, repair technicians at Toyota dealerships may have stripped bolts on the accelerator bracket when performing the recall. Only the 2007-2010 Camry and the 2005-2010 Avalon are at risk for this problem because the other vehicles recalled are equipped with a different system.
