Farm Equipment Lemon Law In New Jersey
A new legislation, introduced by Democratic Assemblymen John Burzichelli and Celeste Riley hope to extend the New Jersey Lemon Law to include farm equipment as well. Right now, farmers have no protection when it comes to defective farm equipment. If they are unable to use the equipment, they are unable to operate their farms, which leads to financial difficulties. The proposed bill has already cleared the Assembly Consumer Affairs Committee, and if passed will cover all new motor vehicle farm equipment purchased or leased in the state of New Jersey. Ice And Snow, Remove It Before You Go
A New Jersey law that took effect this October could cost motorists if they do not clean the ice and snow off all exposed surfaces of their vehicle. Many states have previously fined drivers for flying snow from vehicles causing damage or injury, but the new preventative law goes even further. Drivers are required to clear snow from all surfaces: windows, hood, trunk, and roof, before they start driving. While the offense may cost the driver $25-$75 there will be no traffic violation points incurred. Continue reading
