As the doors open to the public for this years Los Angeles Auto Show, it is guaranteed to be fun for the whole family. The event allows the automobile companies to showcase their upcoming models and technologies as well as display their futuristic concept cars.

One of the most talked about cars of the show is GM’s new Chevrolet Volt. Winning the Motor Trends car of the year award, Automobile magazine car of the year award, and the 2011 Green Car of the Year, the volt beat out a host of hybrid and electric cars including the Nissa Leaf, Ford Fiesta, Hyundai Sonata Hybrid, Honda Fit and Lincoln MKZ Hybrid.
