Kia Motors is recalling almost 25,000 2010 Kia Souls and 11,000 2011 Kia Sorentos over improperly soldered accent lighting. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), under certain lighting conditions, an electrical short may occur which could lead to a fire.
Recall notices will be issued this month to owners to bring their vehicles in to replace the wiring harnesses free of charge. Owners can contact Kia at 800-333-4542 or the National Highway Safety Administration at 888-327-4236.
